The ancient Egyptians regarded the ‘Sacred Blue Lily of the Nile’ as a symbol of spiritual enlightenment, rebirth, and purification. The flowers were steeped in wine to create an intoxicating drink that was consumed during parties, rituals and ceremonies. It was believed to induce visionary experiences, open the mind to spiritual insights, and foster a sense of connection to the divine. My name is Sylvia and I am the founder of Eclectic Soul Expressions. This little online temple is an expression of my creative being combined with my lifelong passion for holistic living, spirituality and love for the extraordinary beauty found in cultures around the world. I'm what I like to call a Creative Multipotentialite, as my life has been a whirlwind of diverse creative passions and pursuits; I was a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer from age 17-25 and the past 13 years I've worked as a full-time freelance visual designer, photographer, video creator and voice-over for some of the biggest companies in The Netherlands. However, my continuous journey of spiritual growth and transformation led me to make a drastic decision. I didn't want to sit behind the computer for the rest of my life. I wanted to become more embodied, start dancing again, learn how to sew my own clothes, go into nature and learn about herbs and astrology. And so a new journey began. I quit everything and took some time off, I dived deep into ecstatic dance, astrology and herbalism and ended up creating Eclectic Soul Expressions. Today, Eclectic Soul Expressions embodies the fusion of my spiritual and creative sides, offering a unique blend of digital and physical creations.
