I have known for quite some time that everything in life ultimately comes down to energy, vibration, and frequency. In 2017, I also wrote an English article about the healing frequencies of essential oils.
Of course, everything we eat or apply to our skin (our largest organ) affects our body. That’s why, for many years, I have eaten as much organic and unprocessed food as possible, drink only filtered water from my Big Berkey, and use only non-toxic natural cosmetics. Additionally, I only use pans without harmful Teflon coatings, avoid BPA-containing plastic containers, and every month I wear 100% cotton sanitary pads and liners.
It’s clear that I generally live consciously, but I can also be quite down-to-earth. Life should remain enjoyable, so if I mostly eat healthy and organic, I can occasionally ‘cheat.’
Over the past year, I’ve delved deeper into fabrics and making my own clothes. Now, you might think: 'But what does that have to do with health?' Well, actually, quite a lot. I discovered a study with a very interesting perspective.
The Study
In 2003, Jewish doctor Heidi Yellen decided to measure the frequencies of fabrics because she had become very curious about a rule in the Torah (the first five books of the Hebrew Bible) that states linen and wool should not be worn together.
Deuteronomy 22:11: "You shall not wear a garment of mixed fabric, wool and linen together."
This would be known as "Shatnez." Dr. Heidi Yellen decided to investigate whether there was a scientific reason for this rule.
According to Dr. Yellen, the frequency was determined by a technician named Ivanne Farr, who used an Ag-Environ machine. The inventor, Bob Graham, had created the machine to analyze the characteristic frequencies of agricultural products to help farmers determine the optimal times for growth and harvest.
The frequency measurements were said to be done in angstroms (m). According to the machine, the human body has a frequency of 70-100m, which drops below 50m during illness. Dr. Yellen’s premise was that any fabric with a frequency of 70-100m or higher would be beneficial to humans, while fabrics with lower frequencies could cause or exacerbate diseases.
However, I find these old-fashioned angstrom values somewhat confusing since frequency is typically measured in Hertz rather than wavelength. Yet, the values closely align with the findings of Dr. Royal Raymond Rife, M.D., and Bruce Tainio, who did use Hertz to determine the frequencies of plants and the human body. You can read more about this in my article on the healing frequencies of essential oils.
Comparison:
According to Dr. Heidi Yellen, the human body vibrates at a frequency of 100m (angstroms), while Bruce Tainio suggests the frequency is about 62 to 68 MHz.
According to Dr. Yellen, a severely ill or near-death person vibrates at 15m, and according to Tainio, death begins at a frequency of 20 MHz.
Regardless of the specific values, it is clear that a higher frequency equates to better health, and a lower frequency is associated with illness.
The Human Body
According to the machine used in Dr. Yellen's research, the human body has a frequency of 70-100 angstroms, which drops below 50 in people with diseases.
This study demonstrated that when the frequency falls below 100, it places a strain on the body. A severely ill, near-death person has a frequency of around 15 angstroms.
Now that we understand this, let’s take a look at the results of the study.
The Remarkable Results
100% organic cotton is in harmony with the human body and has a frequency of 100m. However, non-organic cotton has a lower value of 70m. Bleached non-organic cotton can even drop to 40m, which can negatively affect our bodies.
Rayon and viscose receive a disappointing frequency rating of 15m.
And what about silk? Given the luxuriousness of this fabric, you might think it has a relatively high frequency, but nothing could be further from the truth. Silk has an even lower frequency of 10m! This is likely due to modern processes involving many chemicals.
Polyester, acrylic, spandex, Lycra, viscose, and nylon take the cake with a value of... 0m. Yes, a full zero! Moreover, these fabrics are terrible for the environment, can make you smell worse, trap heat or cold, while natural fabrics are thermo-regulating and always feel wonderful, no matter the weather.
But what about linen and wool?
Now here comes the kicker—both linen and wool have a frequency of a whopping 5000m! This is an enormous frequency-boosting power. This means that both linen and wool are capable of healing the body.
BUT… why does the Torah state that linen and wool should not be mixed?
Deuteronomy 22:11: "You shall not wear a garment of mixed fabric, wool and linen together."
Although linen and wool both vibrate at 5000m, they cancel each other out because the energy of wool moves from left to right, while linen's energy moves from right to left. When combined, the energy field is completely neutralized. Therefore, it’s important to never wear these two fabrics together.
After reading the study, however, a question popped into my mind: "But what about hemp?"
I am a big advocate for hemp. It grows incredibly fast, needs no pesticides, is fantastic for the environment because it nourishes and cleans the soil where it grows, and in the past, almost everything was made from hemp. From rope and clothing to medicine, and Henry Ford even built a car out of it! I call it a miracle plant. Nowadays, you can even build fire-resistant houses with hemp, and it provides a fantastic living environment. Humans used it for everything until it was demonized because people could get high from its cousin.
Unfortunately, hemp wasn’t included in this study, but since it shares many properties with linen, I suspect that hemp must have a similar frequency to linen.
Like linen, hemp doesn’t carry a static charge. Wearing hemp is literally grounding. Linen is strong, but hemp is even stronger! Hemp is the most durable of all natural fibers, being 3.3 times more durable than cotton. Both linen and hemp are UV-resistant and naturally resistant to bacteria and fungi.
Tips
"But Sylvia, I really love my rayon dress and don’t want to get sick from wearing it!"
Understandable, but don’t worry! There are plenty of things you can do to keep wearing your comfy clothes and cute dresses without them having too much of an impact on your frequency.
I’m not planning to throw all my synthetic clothes out the window either. However, from now on, I will be more conscious of the fabrics in the clothes I buy, slowly start acquiring more linen, cotton, and hemp items, and gradually phase out synthetic fabrics.
The easiest way to recharge yourself energetically is to invest in linen bedding. We sleep an average of 8 hours a day, so just imagine what a huge difference it would make if you could energetically recharge every night on/under linen sheets!
That way, you can still wear a rayon dress during the day while keeping your energy field well-balanced.
Personally, I’m in love with my wool slippers from Poland. They’re super fashionable, incredibly comfortable, made entirely from ethically sourced wool on the inside, and have a leather sole. This provides optimal grounding, making them ideal for the colder months of the year—or if you’re like me, and tend to feel cold most of the year. What I love most is that the slippers never smell! This is because wool is naturally antibacterial. Yay! No smelly feet and an energetic "recharge" at the same time.
I love these beautiful slippers so much that I decided to stock them in my webshop.
