Suggested Use

Don’t use while driving or operating heavy machinery. Use in the comfort of your own home (preferable in the evening) or in ceremonial group setting.

Tea Infusion: Infuse 1Tbsp (by breaking/crushing the flowerrs) in 1 cup of boiling water. Allow to steep 5-7 minutes.
A longer steep time just makes it taste bitter, while losing the subtle taste and feel it provides.

You can also add 1 whole flower for a large 1L pot of tea.
Or add 1 whole flower to a 1L coffee press. (This is the method I prefer)

The Egyptian Way: Add 15 grams to 750ml of red wine, shake the bottle and let steep for 1-2 weeks. Continue to shake the bottle daily.

Smoking: You can also smoke the blue lotus, you don’t have to add anything else, just pull the leaves from the flower and crush the leaves with a mortar and pestle. Then add the leaves to your rolling paper and smoke. But remember, what ever herb you use, smoking is still smoking. I wouldn’t recommend doing this if you have lung issues.

Tips from Sylvia:
1) If you are a fan of Blue Lotus, you can also combine this item with the pre-crushed Blue Lotus. I always have a whole flower + crushed flower option at hand.

2) Did you know that you can actually EAT the Blue Lotus flower? I eat it sometimes after i’ve used it as a tea infusion. It tastes a bit like artisjoke. There are also some bitter parts, but I don’t care, I like eating the whole thing. 😆 Just letting you know that it is an option. 😊

3) You can create a tincture from it by steeping it in vodka for 6 weeks, shaking it daily. See video for instructions.

Good to know: I weigh the contents of each package and ensure that the weight is 20 grams per package. Because the flowers vary in size, it may be that I had to put 2 or 3 smaller flowers in the package instead of 1 larger flower to achieve the same weight. This means the amount of flowers may vary depending on the size of the flowers.
