The dried flowers of the blue lotus can be used in many ways. You can drink it as tea, add it to ritual cacao, smoke it, soak it in wine, and even make a tincture!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the attached video, I show you how to do this from the comfort of your own home.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

You will need:<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  • 6 whole Blue Lotus flowers<\/li>\n
  • A mortar with pestle<\/li>\n
  • 500ml glass jar with lid<\/li>\n
  • Wax paper<\/li>\n
  • 500ml vodka (40% alcohol)<\/li>\n
  • Cheesecloth<\/li>\n
  • Brown glass pipet bottles<\/li>\n
  • A small funnel<\/li>\n
  • A pitcher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Preparation:<\/b><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Crush 6 whole flowers with your mortar and pestle.<\/li>\n
    2. Add the crushed flowers to a 500ml glass jar.<\/li>\n
    3. Add 500ml vodka. 40% alcohol. You can also use brandy, but vodka has the most neutral taste, allowing the blue lotus to shine.<\/li>\n
    4. Store for 6 weeks in a dark place (such as a kitchen cabinet) and shake the jar daily.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      After 6 weeks:<\/b><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Place cheesecloth over a jar and squeeze the plant material to extract all the tincture from the flowers.<\/li>\n
      2. Now your tincture is ready.<\/li>\n
      3. Transfer the tincture to brown glass pipet bottles and label the bottles with the date and content.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

         <\/p>\n

        Store the bottles in a dark place, like a kitchen cabinet. The tincture should remain good for approximately 1-3 years.
        Shake the bottle well before each use.<\/p>
        \n

        Tip: You can also add the tincture to, for example, a glass of orange juice for an extra happiness boost! Add 1 full pipette for that.\u00a0<\/i>\ud83e\udde1<\/p>\n

        I also like to add the tincture to my blue lotus tea.<\/p>\n
